Mixing the words

Ever wondered why the Alphabet A
comes first
and not the Alphabeth Z

Ever wondered why the lion is
called the Lion
and not the ant

Day in Day out
I have wondered at many things
Creating a world of my own
of course in my little imaginations

In my little world
I have met strangers
and we have become friends

In my little world
I have travelled
to great cities in minutes

In my little world
Z may just be before A
or the ant called the lion
perhaps the number 2
might just come before one

from here
I have met famous people
Travelled to cities
Played with the familiar
But I haven’t gotten up from my little bed.

Imagination is a very powerful tool, learn to picture your furture from the scripture. This poem depicts the funny side of imagination. Start thinking of that beautiful wedding day, the lovely gown, lovely children, your dream job…Expectation starts with having a mental picture of what you want!

marvinmalindasapp-CustomMarvin Sapp lost his wife in September 2010 to colon cancer. I think I have a little understanding of what it means to lose someone close to you to cancer, the period is traumatizing and you wish there is something you can do to relieve them of the pain. Here is the most traumatizing part, the part where they can’t be with you anymore. The only consolation is in knowing that they have gone to be with the father. This is where I learnt my lesson from this man of God, that irrespective of what it seems that you are passing through, God will still be God and He alone can strengthen you. True worship is worship that proceeds out of you, in spirit and in truth irrespective of the situation around you. It comes from knowing the God that you serve. Two and a half years down the line, After all he’s being through HE IS STILL STANDING.

I was inside when I heard my mum call me Mercy! Mercy! With the same urgency I ran outside thinking I had won a lottery. On getting outside my mum had this look on her face (she knew she had called me as if I had won 10million naira). She had called me to tell me of a dream she had that night. In this dream of hers there was a lady and a man, the lady was very sick and there was a platform and children were standing on it with little boards. The man instructed that she should pick one of the children and whatever it is she sees on the board that would be her fate. This lady climbed to choose and picked the child with a bald head. Immediately she chose the child, what was written on the board was “bata anu” meaning “Mercy Shoes”. Immediately she walked away from the platform she was healed.

After she had told me her dream, the next thing she said was “Mercy, what do you think is the meaning of the dream” (at this time I really was wishing that Daniel and Joseph was born in this generation). This story reminded me of what God said in 1corinthians 1:26-31msg

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” Among you, not many influential, not many from high society families.  Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hallow pretentions of the “somebodies”? That makes it clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God…

My mum said in her dream she was scared when they told the lady to choose, thinking she would pick the wrong person. She also said when she picked the child with the bald head. She was alarmed for the lady. This is how God also choses, not as a man would. Man may pick due to appearance, but God would pick due to the heart. Christ has come and the curtain has being torn, so you can come boldly into the throne of grace and obtain Mercy (Hebrews 4: 16). God’s Mercy speaks in all areas of life, in the dream it spoke Healing. I charge you to stop at grace boutique today and ask for Mercy Shoes.
